Prior to being rescued, 12-year-old Agnes had been let down by humans – she was in very poor health, dumped, and scheduled to be euthanized at the shelter in Los Angeles. Harley’s House of Dreams saved her and brought her to Colorado to provide the medical care she needed, but her heart also needed mending. At the same time, Julia was grieving the loss of Chloe, a little dog that meant everything in the world to her. Julia was heartbroken and though she wasn’t looking for another dog, she saw Agnes’s picture and it “spoke to her”.
And so, one thing led to another and it soon became apparent that Julia and her husband Jim could provide little “Aggie” the absolute most perfect forever home! Congratulations to this wonderful couple – Aggie could not have found a more loving home!
Julia sent us the following heartwarming message:
“Jim and I love Aggie so much! She is so funny and happy and brings us so many smiles! I was so devastated after I lost Chloe and while she will always be my heart-dog, sweet Aggie is bringing joy and love and helping heal my heart. She sleeps cuddled up to me and she loves to go everywhere with me in her sling. She follows me around the house and her little tail never stops wagging!” – Julia
So happy for sweet Agnes and her forever family! She will get all the care and love that she has always deserved!
I remember seeing Agnes when she was first pulled from the shelter in CA., sad, scared and lacking medical care. She blossomed with the love of volunteers and in the loving care of The Taylors. Agnes is a true testament that there are so many sweet souls in shelters across our nation waiting to become part of a family. Wishing Julia, Jim and sweet Agnes a very happy and blessed life.
