A pet store near you sells puppies?

Is there a pet store that sells puppies near you? Are you interested in organizing a regular peaceful protest group (weekly or monthly)? We can provide guidelines and protest signs. If you’re interested, please send an email to: heroes@harleysdream.org

Why do we protest?
Our purpose is to spread awareness to those passing by (on foot or in vehicles) about the pet store/puppy mill connection. By protesting, we are alerting the local residents that there is a serious issue at a particular pet store. We do not want the pet store to close its doors, we just want the store to stop selling puppies and kittens.

  1. I am so against puppy mills and the horrible conditions the animals are subjected to in those cages. I’m constantly contacting our legislators to make puppy mills illegal and always share the information on media sources. I always make it clear that pet stores get their puppies from puppy mills and to purchase from a shelter or a rescue. My little Zoey is a rescue, her owners moved and left her and another dog behind in the house, how anyone can do that to an animal is beyond my thought process.

  2. I am proud to announce that Maryland, where I live, is now the second state in the country to ban pet stores from selling dogs and cats, with the goal of reducing demand for dogs born in puppy mills.

Governor Larry Hogan signed House Bill 1662 into law Tuesday. ( This was in April) <3 <3 <3

  3. I’m so thankful that peaceful puppymill awareness rallys are able to go ahead without interference from mis-informed individuals or groups. These puppies have had enough violence and abuse in their sad lives – there doesn’t need to be more of it to protect them. My Thoughts and Prayers for these rallys is that they always be able to remain peaceful, that the numbers of rallys increase in frequency and demography until all people will have seen, heard or read something about their purpose and can no longer claim ignorance of the issue of puppy mill cruelty and deaths.

  4. Hi George, it’s so good to meet you. I’m glad you are feeling better and can be at Harley’s House of Hope now. Thinking of you and hoping all goes well with your dental and your other procedure.
