More than a year ago, Governor Brown signed AB 485 into California State Law. TOMORROW, on January 1st, it will finally come into effect!
California is the first state in the USA to require that all cats, dogs, and rabbits sold in stores come from rescue organizations, not commercial breeding facilities (aka puppy mills).

This is such wonderful news! Now we need to get other states and finally a Federal law. Thank you, Harley for awaking so many people to the existence of puppy mills!

I saved 2 dogs from a puppy mill , there 14 and 13 right now.
I wanted to put my 2 cent in years ago 🙂 my faled Foster Charlie Brown just past away this year he was a sweet heart he came from angles among use in Ga.

Such great news, congratulations California for stepping up against puppy mill organizations! We need more states to follow and start taking care of the animals, backing adoptions and ligit breeders!
