Cranky Frankie Long-Legs TAYLOR!

Frankie is an old guy with some serious health issues and he may not have a lot of time left, but no matter what, we will make sure that time is filled with nothing but love and all the best that we can offer him. He has become quite bonded to us, wagging his tail and demanding our attention whenever he sees us, and we realize it would be detrimental to him to place him in a new home – no matter how wonderful and loving it may be.

So, there is one thing we now know for sure … he’s going to spend the rest of his days with us. It’s official … Cranky Frankie Long-Legs is now a Taylor!

It was 90 days ago that we rescued Frankie from the shelter in South Carolina. He was sick and emaciated, skin and bones, and he could barely walk – honestly, we didn’t think he would survive the first couple weeks. But Frankie received top-notch care from Dr. Prause (internal medicine), Dr. Sitzman (dentist), Dr. Lineberger (surgeon), Dr. Heaney (cardiologist), and the wonderful staff at Four Seasons Veterinary Specialists. The generous donations to Harley’s Dream made this all possible. Our sincerest THANKS to everyone who donated, shared and prayed. Because of YOU, Frankie was given a second chance, and we’re tremendously grateful.

Moving forward, we will do our best to manage Frankie’s medical issues, always making sure his comfort and happiness are the top priority. We love this little fella to pieces and it’s clear he loves us, too!

  2. Oh my gosh what a sweet baby. I don’t remember seeing any posts about Cranky Franky before but I’m praying that he will be loving you guys and wagging his tail at Best Friends for a long long time! I rescued my little Baxter from a puppy mill in Missouri on June 12th 2010, but unfortunately he only lived 6 more years and I filled him with so much love , attention , and good health but he gave me so much more in return and I will never ever forget him. I still look at his picture and cry. That dreadful day March 25th 2016, just past his March 7th birthday, when I had to take him to the vets so he could sleep it was the worst day of my life! I got to the park next door to the vet’s office 2 hours before the appointment and we spent the entire time in the snow (Colorado!) and back in the car to stay warm but it was 2 hours I will never forget before we said goodbye!😣 Thank you for saving these sweet sweet precious lives. I also wanted to ask you a question if you ever use male doggie wraps? (aka male dog diapers) I have two of them that Baxter used and I have washed them with soap and vinegar cleaner. They are still in good condition and I would like to find someone who could use them. Tried listing them for sale but nobody wants them and they run about $20 to $25 at PetSmart so I wouldn’t mind putting them in the mail if you use them. I would always buy women’s hygiene pads to put in the diaper because of his incontinence. He didn’t care if it was on him didn’t bother him at all and it sure helped. Just let me know and I’ll mail them to you. Thank you for saving so many lives
