Today Melissa ran a 5K race in support of Harley’s Dream, and just yesterday she completed 30 days of radiation treatment for brain cancer. This was actually Melissa’s 3rd battle with brain cancer.
You will never find a more amazing, positive and inspiring person than Melissa. She is a dear friend of ours and a huge advocate for puppy mill dogs. She is also a passionate and dedicated member of our Harley’s Heroes project, and for the past 4 years she has been the volunteer captain at Hops & Harley (managing more than 80 volunteers). Melissa lives near Denver, Colorado with her husband and 2 sons, plus their 3 rescue dogs: a tiny Chihuahua named Duckie, a Dachshund named Hallie Berrie, and the famous Diego the Dashing Dude!
