Miss Pickles – 3 Weeks Later

It’s been just over 3 weeks since Miss Pickles was diagnosed with Chiari-like Malformation and Multifocal Intervertebral Disc Disease and we’re pleased to say that she is doing better than expected. She is still under strict supervision by her wonderful neuro specialist, Dr. Amy Komitor, of whom we’re so thankful. Over the past couple days we have reduced Miss Pickles pain medication from every 6-8 hours to every 12 hours, we’re hoping this will keep her pain under control. So far, so good! She continues to receive a drug which is known to reduce the amount of spinal fluid and we believe that might be helping. There is no cure for her condition but we’re doing our best to keep our precious little Miss Pickles comfortable and happy.

We are tremendously grateful to everyone who donated toward Miss Pickles’ veterinary fund.  This has made it possible for her to receive the absolute best care possible; she certainly deserves that. Her bills total $3,758.89 and your donations totaled to $2.611.20 – that is HUGE, we thank you so much!  Your donations also make it possible for us to rescue and care for the next senior dog … when the time comes.

Today Miss Pickles spent a little time outdoors in the sunshine … she was happy and even wanted to play a little!!  Enjoy her pictures below (they were taken just today) and don’t miss the last group!
