Saving Maya

Saving MayaSaving Maya is a book about courage and survival, it’s a must-read for anyone who loves animals!  Written by Janetta Harvey and beautifully illustrated by Annabel Wilson, it tells the story of two dogs who are destined to become sisters. An uplifting tale, based on a true-life story, not only introduces young readers to pet rescue and adoption, but also educates children about the cruel reality of today’s commercial dog breeding industry (puppy mills), where dogs are confined to cages to produce puppies to be sold in pet stores.

This book would make a wonderful gift for both children and adults, and should be included in every classroom to help educate youth about animal welfare.  You can purchase a copy of Saving Maya online at this link.

“What a surprise it was for Dan and I to receive our copy of Saving Maya – and then open it to see a sweet drawing of Harley! We are honored that Harley was included along with his friends, Susie-Belle and Juno, in the dedication of this wonderful book. Thank you to Janetta and Annabel!” -Rudi Taylor (Harley’s mom)
