I suppose it would have to start at the states’ level, but “puppy mills” must be eliminated, even if it takes one state at a time! The torture these dogs go through is unacceptable, outrageous and criminal!! Adopt, don’t shop, should be a national law unless the breeder is legit! However, I’d rather pay $250 (or less) for a “mixed breed” than $1,000 + for a purebred who could possibly have breed specific problems. And I guess that’s all I have to vent right now: but I’ll be back!!
